Water Projects in Tonga

We are currently working on a water project for Niua, the most northern islands of Tonga.  Currently the only water they have is what rain falls and that has not been happening.  Tonga is currently in a very bad drought.  We are all praying for rain for these poor people.  They do have a well but no pump to bring the water up and then  pump it into a tank for them.  The engine we had ordered is out of Britain and will take about 6 weeks.  President Tupou, the mission president is wanting this project done as soon as possible.  We have found another engine in Australia that will hopefully work and it is much less money and it can be here in about 3-4 weeks.  We went to the sight of another water project to check out their engine as it is the same as the one we can get from Australia.  Kent felt that it would be even better as it is water cooled and should last longer than the other one as it is air cooled.  Following are some pictures of the sight we went to in Matahau, a village on Tongatapu.

This is the type of storage tank that the water will be pumped into.
