"P" Day to Pangaimotu

On November 22, 2014 we headed to Pangaimotu, a small island off of Tangatapu, only 15-20 minute boat ride.  There were a lot of us that went from the mission, the Woods, Van Den Akkers, Myers, Elder Berger, the Hamblins and us.  There is a little resort there where you can get lunch if you want, some did, we did not.  It is a good island for sea shells and for snorkeling.  We hunted shells for a while, then went snorkeling.  There were quite a few fish and they seem to be a little more aggressive than other fish we have snorkeled around.  They would come right up to you.  Kent kept trying to touch them, then he started kind of slapping at them.  Charmain reached out her hand to see if she could touch them and one bit her finger, she was so surprised!  It did not hurt but felt weird.  Sister Woods said that there was a bunch that was cleaning her leg.  She would just stick it in the group and they nibbled up and down her leg, she liked it.  Charmain said that she would not like that at all, she just like to look at them, but does not want them to touch her.

Here on Pangaimotu is the Big Mama Yacht Club Resort.  If you look close you can see their yacht in the background!

Big Mama Yacht Club yacht.

Inside the Resort.  Elder Van Den Akker is ordering their lunch.  Kent is getting some bottled water.

More of the resort. It was pretty cool in side.  Better than anything we have seen so far!

While we were there a commercial snorkeling boat pulled up and people started jumping off and swimming around.

Some of them swam to the 'yacht' and was diving off the top of it.
