Another "P" Day

On December 6, 2014 a group of the Senior Couples head to see the "Natural Bridge" on the south side of the island.  It was quite beautiful, but we did here of a story about this sight.  Sister Hamblin, she is secretary to President Topou, her sister was here visiting and they took a group of visitors to see this sight.  As this lady was trying to take a photo she backed of the ledge of the Natural Bridge.  Her body was never found.  It left us all with an unsettled feeling, but the place is still very beautiful.
We also went walking along a beach with the tide out, leaving these little pools with interesting things in them.  I found some nice shells in them.  Kent is wondering how we are going to get all these shells home! There were also these rock cliffs with trees on them that were full of the "Flying Foxes".  See if you can see them!

Following are some of the photos of this outing.

This is Elder Wood and Sister Burbank looking in the wholes to see what the sea has left behind. There was a fire in the background, this is how they clean their fields.

Sister Wood, Elder and Sister Van Den Akker checking out all the crevasses.

Can you see the Flying Foxes?  They are hanging in the trees on the cliffs above us.  There was a lot of them, some were flying as well.  There was a lot of screeching going on as we were disturbing them by being there.

Looking down on the beach we were just at.  The tide is starting to come back in.

It was a beautiful area to look down on.  This is the same beach.

This is the "Natural Bridge".  It is the place where someone backed off the ledge taking a picture.

Sister Wood and Sister Van Den Akker looking over the edge.  You notice that Charmain is not looking over the edge!

We walked on down the cliffs away and saw this beautiful sight.  A huge cave on the ocean's edge.  This is Sister Wood and Elder Van Den Akker looking at the sight.
