Operation Give - Distribution of the Food

On Monday we headed back to the pier where the containers had been placed.  One minute after midnight the ferry left.  Following are some pictures of the distribution of the food.  The Stake President had it all organised in distributing the food.  He knew what was to go where and to which island it needed to go.  It was quite amazing how organised it was.  We of course had a special ceremony of speeches and of course something to eat.  This time it was not so big, just a small breakfast of hot chocolate, juice, scrambled eggs, and sweet cakes.  There were several dignitaries there as well who spoke to us.  We then had more traditional dancing and the presenting to the Salt Lake group, leis and other objects, thanking them for doing this for them.  Then the distribution started.  Following are pictures of the activities and the distribution.

Loading the trucks to take to those in need.

Loaded boat to take to the other islands where they are in need as well.

We then flew back on a small plane.  It took only about 30 minutes.  It was beautiful as it followed the line of islands in Tonga and we could see all the beautiful water and lagoons.
