New Water Projects Around Tongatapu

We have three different Water Projects that we are working on around Tongatapu.  The water tanks, motors, and pumps are worn and we have had request from different Villages to help them get what they need.  Following are pictures of the sites that we went and visited to get the Projects organized.

This is a water tank in Ha'ateiho that is leaking.  We will be replacing it with two 10,000 liter tanks.  It will be interesting to see the old one come down.  Look for the pictures to come!

This project is located in Fatumu.  They are needing a new motor to replace the old one as it is leaking oil.  They are worried that the oil will get into the water supply.

This is the motor to be replaces, as you can see the oil leaking.

This is a water tower and tank that was destroyed in a high wind that hit this part of the island.  It is for the Village of  Nukuleka. The Village has the funds to put in a new tower and tank, but they also need a new water pump and motor.  We are trying help them with this problem.

This is the road to the water pump and motor.  It is located about 3500 meters from the Village as the Village is located right on the coast.  They moved their well inland so that they would not have salty water.  Nice road!

This is the motor and pump that they are needing.  This one stops a lot and will not run, therefore the Village runs out of water.  There is GPS primary school in the Village, and when there is not water, there is no school.  We feel this is a great need!

This is the Town Officer, the pump Operator and Elder Murdock.
