Inventory of Emergency Container

There is a 40 foot metal container here on Liahona that is used to store Emergency Supplies for disasters.  When Cyclone Ian hit Ha'apai it was mostly emptied, but a few things came back.  It is our job now to go through, see what is good and what needs to be thrown away.  There was a lot of outdated medical supplies that will have to be tossed.  There also was 18 used chainsaws, that were in pretty bad condition.  One did not even have a bar.  Now we need to find someone here in Tongatapu to go through them and see what is good and what is bad.  We have been a little concerned that we have not been able to restock  yet as we are waiting for approval from Salt Lake.  There is Cyclone Pam that has hit just West of us, we have had a lot of rain, but not too much wind, so hopefully it will pass by us and lose some of her force.  Following are some pictures of the Emergency Container and you will see how short we are on supplies!

Elder Murdock and Ana Ika starting inventory.

Rolls of black plastic and the chainsaws.  You can see where the oil is leaking from the chainsaws, not a good sign!

There were a few rakes, shovels, and picks, but not many!

This is pretty much what is left of the medical supplies, all out dated.  We checked with the Pharmacy and he instructed us to throw it all away, that they were not good!

There were a few bottles of iodine, again out dated, and the boxes have surgical drapes in them. Probably not good either!
