This little school came to us for help with their kindergarten building and the need of a new toilet facility for the kindergarten students. Following are pictures of before we started the project and then pictures of the renovation and the new toilet facility. It was a challenging project as the people in the project was not quite sure how to move forward, but with Ana's persuasion they got the job done. Hope you enjoy the pictures of this project.

This is Elder Murdock and Ana Ika inspecting the building that is needing renovation. Half the walls were rotted out and when it rained everything inside would get wet as the roof leaked. |
This is Ana inspecting the class room. Windows were broke and the floors needed to be tiled. |
This is the existing bathroom facility that they have for their little school of 160 students. They are wanting to build a two bathroom facility for the little kindergarten students. |
Here the contractor is inspecting the walls as to how to repair and renovate the building. It was in very bad shape and needed a lot of work. |
Here is the start of the new bathroom facility. They have made it a little smaller than what we were wanting, but we decided the students are small children and that it will be fine for them. |
Here the workers are putting in the new wall of the building. It is actually starting to look a lot better! |
Here they are putting in the new ceiling, which will make the room so much nicer! |
The work is moving forward! |
Here they are laying the tile in the kindergarten rooms. It looks so nice! |
The bathrooms are going up! |
We drove to the sight almost every day and each day there was progress. So proud of all these workers! |
Here one of the new toilets are set in place. |
Now the painting begins, it is really looking up. |
They are all working so hard as Ana has given them a dead line that they are to be done by in just a few days! |
Wow, what a difference a few days have made. We think they are going to make their dead line!. |
Here Ana is giving them instructions as to what they are to have done by the time we return tomorrow! |
Here we are with ribbons and balloons getting ready for the Handover Ceremony. They have even planted some plants in front of the building and spread the extra gravel out for a nice clean path to the building. What a change! |
Here is the new bathroom facility. They do still need to install the sink and pour cement around. |
Since it was rainy weather, we had the Handover inside one of the classrooms. They had it all decorated with the chairs covered nicely. It was very nice. |
This is Elder Murdock reporting on the project and instructing the people and the students to take care of this new facility and it will last them for years to come. |
Here is Garrick Parr, Tonga Service Center Manager, is cutting the ribbon to the newly renovated building. |
From left to right, Ana Ika, Elder and Sister Murdock, President, Stake President, and Garrick Parr. We have been inspecting the new classrooms. |
This is the kindergarten students of Nakolo GPS with the teachers of Nakolo. |
Here we are setting up refreshments for all to enjoy. We brought some, but they had a wonderful spread for all of us. |
Here is Elder and Sister Murdock with some of the students from Nakolo GPS. We love the little children and we will miss the terribly when we leave!
